Charity People are working with is a non-profit company with a clear social purpose. The charity was set up to respond to London’s homelessness crisis. By working in partnership with London councils and private landlords, they help families find a secure and settled home. Their free service gives landlords easy and efficient access to suitable tenants across London. They look for good quality, affordable properties so families can move from temporary accommodation or avoid becoming homeless by supporting both families and landlords to make sure the tenancy is successful.

There is an opportunity for an HR Advisor to join their team for a period of 3 months in their Central London office.

You will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR-related queries and assist the Assistant Resources Director with the implementation and delivery of the Company’s efficient People services, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development and payroll.

Ensuring the activities of the Company are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in accordance with relevant legislation.

HR Advisor

Salary: £40,000 per annum pro rata

Duration: 3-month Fixed Term Contract

Hours of work: 9am – 5:00pm, 35 hours per week

Location: Central London, hybrid set up with 2 days per week in the office the rest from home

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for managers on people issues.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of employees’ recruitment, induction, and leaving process.
  • Manage and input the monthly payroll process with the outsourced provider.
  • Proactively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, value for money and delivery of an excellent HR service.
  • Providing general HR advice and support to managers and staff on company policies, procedures, payroll & benefits.
