Barts Charity are looking for an ambitious, experienced Community Fundraising manager who will deliver a robust programme of engagement for internal and external fundraisers. You will play a pivotal role in delivering the next stage of the Barts fundraising strategy.

Location London EC1A 9BU

Contract Permanent, 5 days per week (37.5 hours), Hybrid working at present, 3 days at home, 2 in the office, which are currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Open to flexible working and condensed hours.

Reporting To Head of Public Fundraising

Salary c£39k depending on experience

Holiday 27 days plus Bank Holidays

Pension 8% employer’s contribution, deferred membership for 3 months

About Barts

Barts is a charity dedicated to supporting improvements to healthcare and transformative research which benefits 2.5 million people in East London and beyond. They do this by funding high quality, ground-breaking research, innovative patient care projects and NHS staff wellbeing initiatives that would not otherwise be funded by the NHS or other grant funders.

It is an exciting time to join Barts Charity, as a new funding strategy is being implemented and they undertake an ambitious multi-year, multi-million major gift fundraising campaign which will create public fundraising opportunities.

About the role

The purpose of this new role is to identify key growth areas and opportunities for development in Community Fundraising whilst supporting individual and community groups to engage in fundraising activities.

You will project manage the research, development and implementation of new fundraising products and activities, taking a test and learn approach, always delivering analysis and insight to inform supporter recruitment, retention, and lifetime value growth.

You will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising to support engagement initiatives with Trust staff, volunteers and the local community making the most of opportunities to align community fundraising opportunities with key target audiences.

You will continue the development and implementation of In Memory plans and manage relationships to improve supporter journeys and experiences.

About you

You are an ambitious self-starter with a strong background in developing and implementing new strategies in public fundraising. You will have experience of developing clear fundraising propositions and be driven by data insights.

You are thorough and detailed orientated. You have a clear focus on growth, developing strong supporter relations, and succeeding in donor retention and acquisition.

You are strong at managing key accounts and build excellent relationships with stakeholders.

You know the best way to invest your time and are persuasive when demonstrating your reason for change whilst using data and reasoning to support your choice.
